Board of Directors
Mo is responsible for overseeing SG Kleinwort Hambros' strategy to grow and transform a business with a long heritage. Over the past few years, the bank has won many industry accolades, including in 2023, when it was recognised as the Best Private Bank in the UK by three independent organisations, achieved strong client satisfaction scores, and was also ranked one of the best places to work in the UK based on staff surveys. Mo has been listed in the PAM top 50 Most Influential in the industry for six consecutive years, and WealthBriefing European CEO of the year in 2021.
Mo is a member of the Société Générale Private Banking Executive Committee and the SG Kleinwort Hambros Bank Limited Board. Mo has personally sponsored a number of innovation, responsibility, talent and leadership initiatives to drive a high performance and inclusive culture, and he is a founding co-sponsor of SG Neurodiversity network.
Before becoming CEO, Mo was Deputy CEO and Chief Investment Officer. As well as delivering award winning investment performance, he was a regular contributor to conferences and the media including Bloomberg, CNBC and BBC radio and TV. He joined Kleinwort Benson in 2011 and moved to SG Kleinwort Hambros as part of an acquisition in 2017. Prior to this, Mo was Head of Multi-Asset Class Investing at Morgan Stanley for Europe, Middle East and Asia (PWM) and spent his early career in Citigroup in London and New York.
Mo has a master’s degree in finance with distinction from London Business School, and a bachelor’s degree in computer science with first class honours from the King’s College London.
He has been a board member, trustee and mentor for several charities with a particular focus on education at all levels from schools to universities, including the King's College London endowment. Mo enjoys sports, including long-distance triathlons and marathons.
Thierry d’Argent was appointed CEO, SG London Branch and Group Chief Country Officer, UK and Ireland in May 2023. Thierry began his career in 1988 at Oliver Wyman; he served as deputy Cabinet Director in the Brussels Federal Government between 1991 and 1992. He then joined Barings and then JP Morgan in 1998 to develop its investment banking franchise in Europe; in 2001, he became Head of Mergers & Acquisition for JP Morgan in France. Thierry joined the Mergers & Acquisitions team of Societe Generale in 2009 and was appointed Global Head of Mergers and Acquisitions in 2010. He became Global Head of Corporate Finance in 2012 and Co-Head, latterly Head, of the Coverage and Investment Banking division in 2015, following which he was appointed Deputy Head of Global Banking and Advisory in July 2019.
Thierry graduated Summa cum laude from the Solvay Business School and the University of Brussels.
Bertrand Cozzarolo began his career in 2000 in the General Inspection teams of the Ministry of Finance before joining Societe Generale in 2004 as a financial analyst. He subsequently held several management positions within retail banking subsidiaries in Egypt and Bulgaria before returning to France in 2011 as Executive Management Chief of Staff. In 2015, he joined Retail Banking in France, where he held various key positions in commercial management and customer relations before being appointed as the Commercial and Marketing Director in 2021. In December 2022, he was appointed as the Head of Societe Generale Private Banking.
He is a graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies and a former student of the National School of Administration.
Anne Ewing is an independent non-executive director of SG Kleinwort Hambros Bank Limited. Anne is the Chair of the SGKH Risk Committee and a member of the SGKH Audit Committee. Anne is also the Chair of SG Kleinwort Hambros Trust Company (CI) Limited and SG Kleinwort Hambros Bank Corporate Services (CI) Limited.
Anne has 40 years’ experience in investment banking, capital markets, corporate and private banking and asset management with a particular focus on risk management. Prior to joining SGKH, Anne has worked at a number of financial institutions including NM Rothschild & Sons, Old Mutual International (Guernsey) Limited and KPMG Channel Islands Limited.
Anne acts a non-executive director on a small number of Guernsey registered listed investment companies and private equity GPs.
Anne has an MSc in Corporate Governance from Bournemouth University, CdipAF – ACCA Diploma in Accounting & Finance and is a Chartered Fellow of the Securities Institute.
Anne is a keen amateur gem collector.
Konstantin Graf von Schweinitz is an independent non-executive director and the Chair of SG Kleinwort Hambros Bank Limited. Konstantin is also the Chair of the Kleinwort Hambros Remuneration and Nomination Committee.
Prior to joining SGKH, from June 2011 until April 2016 he was an independent NED (and formerly Chairman) of BHF Kleinwort Benson Group SA and was also NED and Chairman of Kleinwort Benson Bank and a member of the Supervisory Board of BHF-BANK AG in Frankfurt. As well as advising a number of family offices, Konstantin is also a non-executive Board Member of London based Marex Group plc, a commodity broking and hedging company, and also hedge fund, Egerton Capital.
He has 35 years’ experience in investment banking, capital markets, corporate and private banking and asset management with a particular focus on risk management. He has advised on various risk and investment-related projects for hedge funds, banks, family offices and private equity companies. Until March 2007, he spent 19 years at Kleinwort Benson/Dresdner Bank in various roles including derivatives trading, hedge fund management and served as COO of Dresdner Kleinwort UK, before becoming Chief Risk Officer of Dresdner Kleinwort and Head of Risk Management Investment Banking.
Konstantin has also been a Trustee of the Institute for Cancer Research . Konstantin holds a BA and MA from Oxford University.
Joanna is an independent Non-Executive director of SG Kleinwort Hambros Bank Limited. She is also a Non-Executive director of the Chorley and District Building Society, as well as Member Trustee Director for Aon’s Retirement Plan.
Chartered Institute of Marketing qualified and Digital Marketing certified, with over 35 years’ experience in financial services, Joanna was formerly an independent Non-Executive director of Brewin Dolphin Limited.
Previous industry roles include AXA Health, Fidelity and eValue (a fintech). She has also worked for a number of consulting firms, including KPMG, EY, Bacon & Woodrow (now Deloitte), Tillinghast Towers Perrin (now Willis Towers Watson) and North Highland.
In her spare time, Joanna enjoys pilates and has recently taken up golf.
Since January 2020, Valerie Menu is Global COO Risk Management Function for Societe Generale. In 2019, she was Head of Transformation at SG Kleinwort Hambros.
From 2015 to 2018, she was Chief Operating Officer for Lyxor Asset Management. Previously COO for Societe Generale Group Human Resources, Valerie was in charge of operations, financial monitoring, HR IT systems and of the transformation program for Group HR.
From 1995 to 2012, Valerie held numerous positions within GBIS support functions, both as an operational and program manager, in Head Office and Regions.
Valerie joined the Societe Generale Group in 1995.
Valerie Menu holds a degree in Market Finance of the ESLSCA.
Mike Newman is an independent non-executive director of SG Kleinwort Hambros Bank Limited. Mike is the Chair of the Kleinwort Hambros Audit Committee and a member of the Kleinwort Hambros Risk and Kleinwort Hambros Remuneration and Nominations Committees.
Mike is a Chartered Accountant and retired from PwC in June 2017 having been a senior partner with 30 years of experience in the provision of audit and advisory services to financial services clients. He was also responsible for Risk and Quality for the Banking and Capital Markets practice. He was recognised as a leader in his regulatory field and has also spoken at major industry conferences.
Mike has a wealth of retail and corporate banking experience having worked within the Audit field engaging with senior management at many major UK Banks including Lloyds Banking Group, HSBC, Barclays and RBS and has also led CASS related audits in the Private Banking space.
He has previously worked with various forms of corporate and commercial finance, corporate lending and has led specialist corporate loan book reviews. Mike also has experience of working overseas in particular for a major European Banking subsidiary of a large Latin American banking group.
Mike holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from the University of Nottingham.
Tara is Group Chief Operating Officer for the KH Group with management responsibility for various support functions including: Legal, Tax, Company Secretariat, Operations, IT, Premises, Business Continuity and Outsourcing. She is a Board Director for SG Kleinwort Hambros Bank Limited.
In 2022 Tara was awarded the COO Leadership Award at the Wealthbriefing European Awards for her leadership during Covid and her contribution to our transformation more generally.
Prior to her current role Tara was Head of the COO Office for the UK branch of Societe Generale , supporting the EMEA COO on all matters affecting the UK Branch. Tara was also a Non-Executive Director on the board of Societe Generale International Ltd, the agency broker and prime services subsidiary of Societe Generale ‘s market activities which offers execution, clearing, financing and prime brokerage services.
Tara was called to the bar in 1998 (Gray’s Inn) and practiced as a Solicitor from December 2002 until her move into the COO area in 2013.
Emma Perez is Branch Manager, Gibraltar, SG Kleinwort Hambros Bank Limited and has a comprehensive knowledge of the banking industry. Emma joined the group in 2001, heading up the finance department in Gibraltar. She was made a director of the Gibraltar entity in 2002 and later become deputy MD responsible for all support functions.
She has held her current role since 2006 and was therefore in situ during the acquisition of ABN Gibraltar in 2008, where she was instrumental in ensuring the full integration of the two businesses.
Emma has previously held the post of president of the Gibraltar Bankers Association and is currently a non-executive member of the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission. A fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, Emma trained with KPMG before moving to Credit Suisse to pursue her banking career.
Emma was included in the Citywealth IFC Power Women top 200 list for 2015.

Derek is Head of KH Private Banking and Commercial Director. He is responsible for defining the commercial proposition and strategic direction of the Private Banking business across the UK, Channel Islands and Gibraltar. Derek holds a degree in Law from the University of London.
Having been in financial services for over 22 years, Derek has a track record of leadership and extensive experience of client advisory activities, most notably as Head of Culture and Conduct UK and Head of Institutional Equities Distribution UK & Northern Europe at Societe Generale.
Throughout his career, Derek has developed a proven expertise within the real estate sector, advising investors and European real estate companies in sectoral investing and capital markets solutions.
Derek is an active squash player and a struggling real tennis player. He also enjoys learning about 18th and 19th century landscape architecture and buildings.
In 2021, Christophe Huchet was appointed Chief Risk Officer of Kleinwort Hambros.
Prior to this he was CEO of SG Kleinwort Hambros (Channel Islands) Ltd, a member of the Board of SG Kleinwort Hambros CI Bank ltd and SG Kleinwort Hambros Trust Ltd. In this role, Christophe focused on the integration and development of the firms’ offshore business in the Channel Islands both on the Bank and the trust side.
Christophe has previously held roles as CEO of SG Group Head of Tax for South Europe and COO of SG Milan branch since July 2016.
Having received a Master’s Degree in Tax Law (DJCE) from Rennes University in July 1996, Christophe began his career with PwC in Gabon for 2 years before moving to Paris to work for Exane SA as Head of tax and legal. In 2003 Christophe Joined SG Group when he has held various positions within the Tax Department first in Paris dedicated to the investment bank division, then in Hong Kong in 2007 when he set-up the tax functions for the non-investment Bank before moving to Milan in 2011 as SG Group head of tax for Italy and then Italy and Switzerland.
Christophe is married with 3 children and resides in Jersey. His personal interests include alpine skiing, tennis and wake boarding.

Tara is a Trustee of Family Fund, one of the UK’s largest charities providing over £36m in grants for families raising disabled or seriously ill children. She is a keen mountain climber having climbed Aconcagua, Mont Blanc and Kilimanjaro and enjoys running and cycling regularly.

Philippe joined SG Kleinwort Hambros as Group Chief Financial Officer in November 2020.
He has over 20 years of extensive experience in various Finance management roles, gained within the financial services industry and in an international environment. Prior to joining SGKH, was Chief Financial Officer for Societe Generale Ltd based in London. He was previously Head of Finance at Newedge Group Paris.
Philippe manages finance teams based in the United Kingdom, Jersey, Guernsey, Gibraltar and the services of outsourced finance hubs located in Bucharest and Bangalore. Philippe has full responsibility for the Treasury and ALM function for Kleinwort Hambros. He is also responsible for maintaining accurate Prudential Regulatory monitoring reporting, as well as the production and integrity of the firm’s financial information in respect of its regulated activities.
Philippe is married with 3 children; his personal interests include variety of sports, enjoying running, Tennis and Alpine skiing.
As Head of the Client Solutions Group, Delyth is responsible for the definition and execution of client service and product deliveries. The Client Solutions Group includes the Investment Management, Credit and Banking, Wealth Planning, Marketing and Communications teams.
Prior to her current role, Delyth was the Client Solutions Group Chief Operating Officer and Head of Product Strategy.
Following the merger of Kleinwort Benson with SG Hambros, Delyth has led on a number of integration activities as Chief of Staff for the Wealth Management Services division. She previously held roles including Head of Investment Solutions, Head of Funds Research and Structured Credit Analyst.
At the start of her career, Delyth spent 9 years in Investment Advisory and Credit Analysis.
Delyth holds a Masters in Property Law and Valuation from Cass Business School and a BA from Durham University. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (MSCI), Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRCS) and Institute of Directors.
Delyth is a Trustee and Chair of the 500-year-old Cloudesley Charity, which supports vulnerable people in the London Borough of Islington. She enjoys hiking, singing and performing, as well as supporting her two daughters’ theatrical ambitions.
As Group Chief Human Resources Officer, Jason is responsible for delivering strategic business initiatives whilst providing overall oversight and consistent delivery of the HR function. He will ensure the consistency of the HR function delivery and initiatives, in alignment with overall business strategy and regulatory requirements in all jurisdictions.
He will also focus on attracting strong and diverse new talent, building career opportunities, people development and employees’ wellbeing so that we continue to be recognised as a leading responsible bank and employer. Jason manages diverse HR teams in London and the Channel Islands.
Prior to his current role, Jason was the Head of HR for Europe Financial Advisory at Lazard and also has extensive global firm experience as an HR Leader at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, Deutsche Bank with experience working across Finance, Operations, Trading, FX and Investment Banking across Europe, Asia, and North America.
Jason holds a BA (Hons) in Business Administration from the University of Brighton, and recently qualified as a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD (FCIPD).
Jason is married with 2 children, and is a keen cyclist, having cycled Mont Ventoux, Alpe D’Huez, and the Maratona dles Dolomites course. He also enjoys skiing, running and photography.
As Group Chief Compliance Officer, Heidi supervises the Compliance and Financial Crime activities of Kleinwort Hambros in all locations.
Heidi has an extensive career in Compliance, having started at Lehman Brothers, then at Credit Suisse, Citigroup and Goldman Sachs (both in the UK and in Switzerland) and more recently as Head of Compliance for Lombard Odier UK and Head of Compliance for Products at HSBC Private Bank. Most recently, Heidi was employed as the Head of Compliance for Vestrata, a UK Fintech Startup developing a proposition for Wealth Managers and Private Banks.
Our Teams
David originally joined Kleinwort Hambros in 1987, working within various departments and gaining valuable Private Banking experience. He then moved to The Royal Bank of Canada where he spent a decade in senior roles, mainly within Treasury, including a secondment to Dubai.
He returned to Kleinwort Hambros in 2004 as Deputy Group Treasurer and subsequently moved into Risk in 2009. He was appointed Chief Risk Officer in June 2018.
In 2021, David was appointed CEO and Group Head of Trust & Fiduciary for SG Kleinwort Hambros Trust Company Limited.
David is a Chartered Fellow of the CISI. He is married with 3 teenagers and lives in Guernsey. Outside of work, David is a qualified hockey coach and is currently the lead coach for the Guernsey U18 girls' island squad.
Thomas Joined SGPB Hambros in November 2014 as a Senior Private Banker before leading one of the Jersey teams. He then became Head of Private Banking in Jersey before taking over as Head of Channel Islands Private Banking. Thomas also joined the Channel Islands bank board in 2021.
With over 25 years’ experience Thomas leads the commercial strategy for the Channel Islands Private Bank as well as having regulatory responsibility for the business. His teams provide HNW and UHNW individuals, families and their structures with Banking, Lending, Investment and Wealth Planning services. The team pride themselves on a service-oriented offering providing flexibility and innovative solutions to meet their clients ever growing needs. The CI team have won various awards for outstanding achievements in the private banking world and Thomas personally has been recognised by Spears as one of the top wealth managers in Jersey.
Thomas is also part of the Kleinwort Hambros Group Commercial Executive Committee which drives the banks overall strategy and how we work with the wider Société General group.
Thomas has worked for a number of well know financial institutions covering the HNW and UHNW markets and various geographical regions with particular focus on East Africa, Channels Islands and the UK res non dom market.
A keen sportsman in his youth he now plays golf, coaches’ football to juniors at a local football club and is a director of the Jersey 2 Africa football foundation. This foundation is dedicated to improving young lives in Africa both on and off the field using football as a way of enhancing the lives young men and women, boys and girls in the Mukuru slum in Nairobi.
As Head of Wealth Planning, Andrew is responsible for the delivery of wealth planning advice and products. Andrew joined SG Hambros Bank in 2013 from Barclays Wealth becoming head of the department in 2019.
Andrew has been advising business owners and families for over 15 years helping to define what is important to them and developing strategies to achieve their stated objectives. Typically, Andrew’s advice will revolve around maximising the efficient use of personal and business assets and the orderly transition of wealth to the future generations and or for philanthropic purposes.
Andrew holds a degree in finance and is a Chartered Financial Planner. Andrew is also a member of the PFS and STEP.
Paul is the Head of Banking & Credit, in which he has responsibility for our deposit and loan products, as well as our digital banking services through ‘KH Online’ and ‘KH Cards’.
Paul joined the Risk Management department of SG Hambros from Lehman Brothers in 2008. He transferred to the Treasury desk in 2011 as a dealer, where he had responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Bank’s balance sheets and liquidity. He was promoted to the Head of Treasury for Kleinwort Hambros in 2017, overseeing the merger of SG Hambros and Kleinwort Benson and establishing a new balance sheet strategy for Kleinwort Hambros. He was promoted to his current position in 2019 to carry forward this strategy in our client solutions.
Paul holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Queen’s University Belfast and has been a CFA Charterholder since 2012.
Andy is Director, Head of UK Domestic Private Banking for Kleinwort Hambros responsible for the bank’s domestic clients across the whole of the UK. Prior to taking up this position Andy was responsible for Kleinwort Hambros’ Key Clients Segment where he also looked after a portfolio of his own clients, resident in both the UK and Overseas.
He started his career with Coutts & Co in August 1984 where he spent 17 years advising private and corporate clients on all aspects of banking, credit, investments and financial planning before moving to Credit Suisse Private Banking to help set up their new wealth management offering. He joined Kleinwort Hambros in January 2005.
Rachel Iles is the Head of UK Trusts for Kleinwort Hambros. Rachel works with clients to help them set up UK trust structures and offers the services of a corporate trustee to our clients. The UK Trust Company also provides the services of administrator and or company secretary providing the clients with flexibility as to how they wish to manage their complex structures. The types of structures we manage are various forms of Private Trusts, Executorships and Charitable structures.
Rachel has worked in the trust industry for 37 years, having started her career with Coutts and Co. She has been with KH for 23 years. She is a Deputy CEO of the KH Fiduciary business and is a Director of both SG Kleinwort Hambros Trust Company (UK) Limited and SG Hambros Trust Company Limited, which are wholly owned subsidiaries of SG Kleinwort Hambros Bank Limited.
Rachel is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
Phil joined the Kleinwort Hambros Group in 1990. He has held senior management roles in a number of areas, including Treasury, Investment Management, Risk, Fiduciary and Commercial, both in Jersey and in London. Phil was appointed CEO of SG Kleinwort Hambros (Channel Islands) Ltd in December 2021. Phil is a member of the Boards of SG Kleinwort Hambros Bank (CI) Ltd and SG Kleinwort Hambros Trust Co (CI) Ltd. Phil is also a member of the Executive Committee of Kleinwort Hambros.
Phil holds a first class BsC in Financial Services from the University of Manchester, and is a Chartered Fellow of the CISI. Outside of work, Phil enjoys watching and playing many other sports. Phil is married with two children and is a keen reader, amateur meteorologist and an occasional writer of fiction.
Tony started his career in 1991 with Barclaytrust International Limited and, after a spell working in Geneva, ultimately managed the European Trust Teams of Barclays Private Bank based in Jersey.
Tony joined the Private Client Trust team of SG Hambros Trust Company in 2006. He also sat on the committee of the Jersey Trust Companies Association as well as the Trust committee of the Jersey Bankers’ Association.
Tony moved to Singapore in 2010 as Head of Fiduciary Services for SG Trust (Asia) Ltd before taking over as CEO in 2014. SG Trust (Asia) Ltd then became a wholly owned subsidiary of SG Kleinwort Hambros Trust Company (CI) Limited in 2016.
During his 26-year career in the trust industry, Tony has gained extensive experience in wealth structuring, succession planning, life insurance, family governance, UK tax, legal and regulatory issues.
Tony is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and an alumnus of the Leadership Trust in the UK. Outside of work, Tony is an avid sportsman having played hockey at senior and cricket at junior county level in his younger days.
Claudia Rolf Urnieta is the Commercial Director in Gibraltar, Deputy CEO and Director of the Gibraltar Bank. She came to the jurisdiction in 1994 joining ABN AMRO Bank as a German Private Banker, after previously having worked at Commerzbank in Barcelona, Spain. She became Head of Private Banking in 2002, and after the acquisition of AAB by SG Hambros in 2008 joined the Management Team. She became Head of the Commercial Department and Deputy CEO a few years later.
Claudia joins her team in the implementation of the growth strategy which has specialised in the servicing of UHNWI, Family Offices, EAM as well as the jurisdictional based hubs for insurance companies by offering full banking, investment management and lending services. Due to the proximity of the Iberian peninsular the business opportunities expand into Spain and Portugal, with frequent introductions to the wider SG group, depending on client needs and requirements.
Gene Salerno is Chief Investment Officer at SG Kleinwort Hambros, responsible for driving investment strategy, implementation, and performance for clients. He chairs the SG Kleinwort Hambros Investment Committee and subcommittees.
Gene joined Kleinwort Benson as Head of Asset Allocation and Equities in 2011 and has more than 20 years of investment industry experience. Prior to Kleinwort Benson, Gene led investment management for a substaintial private European family office, invesitng across traditional and alternative assets classes while also supporting private equity and real estate transactions.
Earlier in his career, Gene worked as a software engineer focused on missile defense systems at Raytheon. Gene has an MBA from London Business School and a BSc in Computer Science from Binghamton University, New York.
As Head of Investment Management, Andrew manages some of SG Kleinwort Hambros' most significant Discretionary and Advisory mandates and is a member of the SG Kleinwort Hambros Investment Committee.
Andrew joined the group in 2008 and has more than 20 years of portfolio management experience. He is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) and holds the CISI Level 6 Certificate in Private Client Investment Advice & Management.
With 26 years of private banking and wealth management in London and in New York City, advising French and other international high and ultra-high net worth individuals and families. Graduated from University Paris IX Dauphine, Gwenolé has an Executive MBA from Bayes Business School (formerly Cass Business School) – City University. He is a CFA Charterholder, a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst and a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
